- Now using timeouts on sockets. Fixed search not being repeatly sent.

Great!, but please try out Doxygen tags/comments for documentation:
http://www.stack.nl/~dimitri/doxygen/
With Doxygen the code documentation part practicaly writes it self ;)

I know about doxygen, I use it at work. That was my intention.

Hi c0diq,

Gamester17 from the XBMC-project here. Just thought I let you know (in case
you missed this) that on the 12th of July 2006 the UPnP Forum (www.upnp.org)
announced the release of ‘Enhanced AV Specifications’, with the release of
version 2 of the UPnP Audio and Video specifications (UPnP AV v2). These
enhancements are created by adding capabilities to the UPnP AV MediaServer and
MediaRenderer device classes that allow a higher level of interoperability
between MediaServers and MediaRenderers from different manufacturers. Thus the
new specifications; MediaServer versions 2.0 and MediaRenderer version 2.0 has
been released on upnp.org

Can you update those classes in Platinum SDK (and XBMC) with those specs?

The UPnP AV v2 specifications are fully backward compatible with the UPnP AV
v1 specifications according to the announcement ;-)

Read the full announcent here:
http://www.upnp.org/news/documents/AV2_PR20060712.pdf

MediaServer V2.0 and MediaRenderer V2.0 standards:

Best regards / Gamester17

Does platinum have code for remote control of the MediaRenderer?

Is it possible to send a video to an xbmc?

Thanks

Yes but this is not hooked in yet in xbmc.
Probably after v2 is released…
