SNDK update

November 30, 2004 1 comment

Hello everybody!
OK it’s been a long long long loooong time that I haven’t posted anything. Big things are changing for me. First is that I am changing job. I am really psyched about that. I am so psyched that I have been going back to my little SNDK project! Remember how it wasn’t working on linux and I couldn’t understand why. Well people, it is FIXED! Thanks to a little help from G. and his Neptune guidance, I was able to find the source of my problems (and there were quite a few). Anyway, I think I have spent enough time on this for this week. My next step is to completely start from scratch and use G.’s Neptune library but that will take a while. Anyhow, look at this beautiful screenshot of my UPnP light device running on linux and being discovered by the Intel UPnP Device Spy on my XP box ;-)

Dyson

Today, after our weekly trip to Lowes, we decided to go to Sears ’cause I needed some stuff for the car. Anyway, we didn’t plan it but we’ve been looking for a loooooooooong time for a better vacuum cleaner. Well let me tell you, we found the ultimate sucking machine. After a demonstration from the salesman, this was clearly something to try at home. We tried to buy a broken one on ebay once but backed out and this time, I was not going to leave without it. And let me tell you, this is the shit! It works at advertised, it’s not some sort of advertisement bullshit. It litterally creates a small tornado (146 mph according to the salesman) inside the machine to keep the dust and hair moving to prevent clugging that makes a normal vacuum lose suction. Anyway, for you pet owners, this is the ultimate invention that the 21rst century has ever produced so far..well besides the prius.

Today after our weekly trip to Home Depot, we went to measure the outside of the house. A few hours later, the floor plan is updated. I was not that far off.
